Job Description: The Medical Physicist will provide medical physics consulting services in all imaging modalities depending on qualifications. The primary purpose of the position is to provide medical physics support services and physics accreditation services. Work will take place at the company office in Centralia, WA, remote at the physicist’s home, as well as off-site at medical facilities located in the Pacific Northwest.
Hours: This is a full-time position (40 plus hours/week). Work hours will be split between working off-site at medical facilities and either working at the company office or remotely from the physicist’s home. Work hours and schedule may vary depending on the company’s job schedule. Overnight travel is required.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in physics, math, engineering, or other related field required. ABR or ABHP board certification preferred.
Qualified by ACR, IAC, Joint Commission, MQSA to conduct physics testing of all imaging modalities.

Must be able to enter MRI facilities (no embedded ferrous objects)
What You’ll Do
Provide medical physics consulting services across diagnostic imaging modalities, including mammography, MRI, CT, PET, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, x-ray, and other imaging systems.
Perform equipment surveys and performance evaluations in accordance with company procedures, ACR standards, applicable state regulations, NRC requirements, and client accreditation needs.
Prepare, review, and finalize medical physics reports using company templates, established testing procedures, and modality-specific documentation standards.
Support ACR physics accreditation services and assist clients with maintaining compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Conduct quality control audits across imaging modalities to evaluate compliance with state, Joint Commission, ACR, and other applicable requirements.
Serve as a knowledgeable technical resource for clients regarding radiation safety, quality control, imaging equipment performance, clinical protocols, and regulatory expectations.
Provide quarterly health physics support for nuclear medicine programs, including services required under applicable NRC, ACR, state, and company standards.
Serve as Radiation Safety Officer for client facilities when assigned, and provide consulting support to RSOs, technologists, radiologists, and facility leadership.
Provide radiation safety, medical physics, and modality-specific training to clients, technologists, ancillary staff, Junior Medical Physicists, Residents, and Interns as needed.
Prepare and approve radiation shielding designs, including collecting necessary project information, coordinating with architects and medical facilities, preparing shielding reports, and completing required DOH documentation.
Assess radiation shielding installations and perform public exposure evaluations in areas surrounding imaging rooms.
Maintain required continuing education and modality-specific qualifications necessary for accreditation, credentialing, and professional practice.
Maintain compliance with client vendor credentialing requirements, including required training, screenings, vaccinations, and facility-specific access requirements.
Perform other medical physics, radiation safety, training, reporting, and consulting duties as assigned.
Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including the position’s geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, education, qualifications, and expertise. After a conditional offer of employment is made, candidates may be required to complete additional job-related screening steps, consistent with applicable law.
